Motorola prefered of course, but let me know what's out there. I borrowed a setup this season but its gone now, and I'm spoiled! I'll need the harness, antenna, two radios, headset, mic, earbuds, chargers, etc.

Look up Argent Labs. They were there this weekend supporting the national races and sponsoring some of the CMC cars and had some equipment that worked very well. If you can't locate them, PM Mitch or Glenn or let me know and I'll do it. I met the owner and some of the staff, they are great guys and I'd gladly try to spend my money with them.

Hmmm... their website won't come up. I'm hoping I'll find a used setup actually.

My buddy Charlie has a set that he may be willing to part with. You can e-mail him at:

crkart@aol.com

to see what he has and how much he wants for it.

Thanx Mitch. I've been spoiled by using a borrowed Motorola setup all year. The equipment shown on the Argent site is incomplete in a number of ways. I use an open helmet, they don't have a mic and holder listed, nor an in-car radio holder or box. My daughter the crew chief hates the over-the-one-ear headset they show too. I'll see if I can find an old Brand M setup. Thanks very much for the reference though.

You really need to contact Robert about your needs. His site is grossly incomplete with all that he can offer.

I bought my radios here. Very good prices, and very fast service.

You can piece together the wiring from racing electronics.

Thanks for all the suggestions and links. I finally ordered a new "long-track" setup from Discount Racing Radios. The combination of immediate shipping, price, warranty, equipment choices and knowledgeable sales guy with a direct 800 number to call for help with problems convinced me to buy new, rather than used. Now I'll wait for the radios to arrive and see if I did the right thing... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
