Why a carb?!? Seems like going backwards, especially with the availability of tuning software for that motor.

I remember reading somewhere that the GM engineers were amazed that the heads of the L series small blocks could flow so well "wet". Are you going to race it in a class where carbs are required, or was this just something you wanted to do? In any event, it looks well done. Keep us posted.

I remember reading somewhere that the GM engineers were amazed that the heads of the L series small blocks could flow so well "wet". Aren't the heads flowing wet already, with the injectors in the intake manifold? Or is the injector spray pattern more of a pencil jet, aimed right at the valve? A. |

A main reason I want to build this LS-2 Motor without PCM. In few years ago, I had 2001 Camaro LS-1 with Comp. Cam, 52 m Injectors, SLP Headers, Vortech Supercharging. It was real powerful run. Too expensive $$ expense on do diagnostic/do maintained so often.I sold it last year.
My good friend, is auto mechanic/ work at GM Goodwrench and brought the GM Performance Parts Catalog and showed me about LS SERIES without PCM. We decide to try building one without PCM Computer Controlled. The motor have not started yet. It has not tested with dyno. One day, I will take it to dyno and see how it run. I will install it on my 2001 Camaro. Look at my cardmain:http://www.cardomain.com/id/FreakCamaro27 I read the stories in other forum about it. Those who own LS-2 motor likely this one. Those LS2 guys said that they love it and real powerful run.. Good Luck me.... About race I would in, I guess so, NASA Pro Racing/ SCCA would NOT allow that motor to do race. Correct?? Ask Glenn98ZM6—He probably he knows about the rules of NASA Pro Racing/ SCCA. What about time trail? If yes, I probably go for it if NASA Pro Racing/ SCCA allow me drive with that motor? Looks great.
What Holly carb? Get a 750 Holly race carb. Motor deserves it. Fuel feed lines and fuel logs need insulation as do the spark plug wires. Steve |

YEAH, I plan put the insulations at spark plugs..Not sure on fuel inlet. The Carb size is Holley 850 CFM, accelerator pump, dual fuel inlets. |
