Considering we both have GM Cards, she's owned/driven nothing but GM and short of a Mercury, I've had all GM's this was a bit unusual for us. I didn't really want another SUV that got around 20mpg (replacing our Bravada), but none of the American cute utes did it for us, and we still needed the cargo room. We even stooped to looking at the Maxx out of frustration/desperation (the Bravada was going to need $ sunk into it before the dead of winter). Also didn't want an SUV because resale could be squat in a couple years and I may not want it then if gas spikes. Anyhow, Chrysler had some great incentives last week and we got a 15k mile/year lease with zero down for $400 a month and I couldn't pass that up, at least not on a vehicle that invoices at $30k

I've always liked Jeeps. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

We just bought my wife another new car as well. The VW GTI is gone and has been replaced by a Mazdaspeed 6 (hey, mine's all wheel drive too (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ). Since she's been working and in school, I have no pics of it yet (I haven't seen it in daylight since we bought it). But it's one of these (in red, I was amazed she wanted red, but I actually really like it):

I get the Ford, Chrysler and GM discounts (X-plan, Supplier discount, etc). The Ford discount works on a Mazda, that made it a bit nicer.

We drove a Mazda 6 too, but the rear passenger space was disappointing. Liked the cargo space the 5-door provided though.

I have never been a big fan of the Jeeps, but just after I bought my wife the Chrysler 300 SRT8.....they came out with a Jeep version of SRT8...

Imagine that pic lowered with fat wheels/tires and aggressive stance....some body kiting.....and a 425 HP Motor..... :-D

And with 2 small kids.....the SUV thing would be nice! DOH!

We thought it was mostly adequate (for our uses). It's larger than the GTI and it's usually just us and we're not having kids. Besides, it's turbocharged, 274 hp and AWD....who needs a back seat? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I like that the wife is in a larger car than the GTI (not that they aren't solid) with AWD, DSC, ABS all the usual air bags (sensors for the passenger side) and even the extra HP doesn't bother me since it's so docile with the AWD setup. It's not the right car for everyone, but we like it for us.

I watched a srt8 jeep in action back in may. They say mostly stock. with some weight loss. I have another one with a killer burnout. Must be fun to get paid to run this vehicle. Srt Engineers.

Hey I think this drive-by is pretty cool.

SRT site

srt4 vs zrt8 Notice the Wing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, while we are talking about new wifey rides, we just recently picked up a new daily driver for my wife. She was wanting a vert, and we had a friend who was selling his 95 Z28. This car was being prepped to be a DE car, so it has some suspension mods and a 381 stroker LT4/6 sp. The car is very healthy, and wakes up quite a few car alarms when started in the parking garage at work. :-)

I'll post pics as soon as I find a place to post them.

Yep! She actually washed AND waxed it yesterday afternoon. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

She claimed she ran out of time to do my B4C!
