That was very, very entertaining.
In a nutshell, what are they allowed to do to the f-bodies? They look high and soft. I really enjoyed that race. |

I believe they must run stock springs (not sure on sway bars). So, high and soft might sum it up pretty well.

I thought someones said the T2 race wasn't aired on SPEED until Xmas? Bummer....they don't replay this stuff much, if at all! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

Stock everything except shocks, brake pads, brake fluid, and an non full locker within the stock rearend. Max -2* camber. Remove the AC, air bags, and the radio; add cage, harnesses etc. Go race.

I was happy to be getting my usual dose of Speedvision when it unexpectly came on. What a race! Lots of entertainment! Even though, I think SCCA classes like this suck with mixing AWD and RWD. Just ain't fair! Still, it was nice to see Knowles up front in that black 'Bird and the guy in the Camaro right behind him. Dave Shotz started on the pole but must have had something break if I remember his comments. They were almost as fun as watching CMC! Just got back from watching that with some others. That was a heck of a race. Ugly start though. It's amazing how the WRX's were tossed around the corners. Both of the top 2 4th gens looked very hopeful until 2 laps to go when the black formula got a little too aggressive with the offroading move on the inside corner.

If I'm not mistaken, the F-Bodies are running penalty weight and air inlet restriction. Are the STIs also carrying extra weight?

if ya missed the T1 race, its worth watching just to see the Viper spin the C5 and the resulting wreck was huge.

QUOTE if ya missed the T1 race, its worth watching just to see the Viper spin the C5 and the resulting wreck was huge. ... it sure was. that's why I don't believe any diabled car should be left on the circuit, unless it is protected in some way. (behind a wall) the innocent car that just had a mechanical is now demolished. |

My cousin ran F-production and I'd love to get a copy of that race. I killed the digital package on my TV since I really don't watch TV and I was paying $30 a month for speed channel (basically), which I never really turned on (unless I had a schedule like this on for the runoffs coverage). If anyone could record it and put it on DVD for me, I'd really appreciate it (and if the T1, T2 and a bunch of others "fell" onto the disc, I'd be grateful as well).

I've got AS, and will have the others if they replay them. Remind me closer to the F-prod race and I'll record that one too. All 4 should fit on a DVD if I get them all. I'll send them off to you then. |

Let me know if you hear anything. |
