Who all makes good stong front brake conversion hubs for third gen f bodys. I know of Mr miller ( & thats where my braketet came from) over On tgo site does. I would like who else makes them.

But they sure look nice and will drop about 3 lbs off each corner, IIRC. I don't think that that price is bad at all either. My only concern with aluminum is heat from the brake rotor. At temperature the Al is going to expand more than steel, which will loosen up the press fit and preload on the bearings. Also, the AL is also going to conduct heat better than steel, which means the grease will see higher temps. I would also think that anealing would be more of a concern as well. Are the Ed Millers steel or cast iron? Does he make them from billet or does he just cut off the rotor from stock brake rotors? |

I think Ed just trims off the rotor and has them cad plated, but they work well for me so far.

Wow, great info, glad I tripped into this thread... I didn't even know about the Kore3 parts.
There is the Baer A sedan kit also right? Aluminum hub and 1LE brakes. But the hubs are for a traditional spindles. My car is 1LE. Hummmmm, might need to make a call. |

You might also do a search on here on KORE3 to see what kind quality they have. So far with the comparo photos of their brake components here I have not been impressed.

I have to call Ed to make shure he's not using billits first. Would the old cast iron hub have a cracking problem? |

I'm using Ed's LS1 front kit for 3rd gens with the cast iron hub. I've put two track days on them without any major problems. A lot of people do it themselves.
