I'm looking for a 4th gen f-body with hardtop, manual trans, and 350 engine. Camaro or Firebird, doesn't matter. I'd prefer an LS-1 car, but due to the scarcity of the combination of my other constraints I'll definitely consider an LT-1 car. The car will be set up for autocross in ESP, so most mods generally won't be of much value to me. If you know of something in the mid-atlantic area, please let me know. I'll even buy a car without motor, trans, or both as long as it started as a V8/manual trans car.

I have a 1996 Z28 hardtop 6 speed car minus motor, tranny and exhaust. The fuel tank has been removed and the lines were cut in the process. The body is straight, needs paint and the interior is rough but there. I realize it's far from ideal but it is cheap. I paid $750 for it as it sits and will let it go for that or possibly a little less.

A bit far away, but it's a possibility. I'll keep it in mind.

Gary,

Got a 94 (LT-1) hardtop, Z28, with a 6-speed for sale for $2,900. And it's black.

It's in California now, but I personally bought it in Virginia, and drove it across the country in a few stretches.

I'm the second owner, only put 7k on it or so, and only autocrossed it twice.

It has 149,500 miles (haven't driven it since I posted it for sale a month and a half ago) but has some new stuff, like an upgraded MSD opti and new water-pump (that have less than 1,000 miles on them).

See this thread for more info --> http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/index.php?showtopic=12539
