well the previous owner was a drag junkie, so the car has the short torque arm, LCA, LCA relocation bracket, and adjustable panhard, other than that suspension is stock, i do want to change it to a more road worthy setup in the course of next year.
This is the Autodromo de las Americas in the dominican republic, the video is from a mini event called initiation category, rules are 200+ treadwear tires, full interior, stock type suspension, sorted starting order, 6 laps.

VIDEO

this is the only video of the day, on the third and last session i did some of my better driving.
cant wait for the next track day.

Holy shit. That might be the most unsafe thing I have ever seen. It's amazing how insurance dictates how track days run in the states.

Oh boy... with my background as a builder, racer, and event official, that video pushes all of my buttons.

Please, do these things before putting your life on that track again:

- prep the car for track use: rollbar, good seat, good harnesses, fire suppression system and a handheld.

- prep the driver for track use: good multilayer nomex firesuit, nomex undies

- get a collection going among the drivers, buy a couple sections of Kwall to cover the exposed ends of those Armco barriers. The haybales won't do anything for a car, and getting speared by Armco makes for a bad day.

- evaluate the safety and race control systems in place, have a personal plan for what if you get hurt and the track safety systems fail.
