When I clicked on the linek I saw the first pic and thought I was at a BMW forum. Did anyone else see the bmw-ish-ness? I had a mid 90's bmw and had flashbacks for a sec. heh. fox body front end maybe?

You won't be able to turn the front shocks upside down. I think the calipers were just the mock up, I don't think that car at any level gets single piston brakes. I noticed the sway bar end links too. There has got to be a better way to do that. On the other hand it looks like lowering and bump steer won't be as bad as a 4th gen.

The rear looks good. 4 bolts and removal.. if you have a 2 ton jack. I don't think it will be that heavy, it just looks massive, but it is all stamped steel. The drive shaft prop looks vette-ish.

Here's hoping for a good car.

Howdy,

By the way, the front suspension is nearly identical to my '07 'stang, and that was just a ripoff of an E36 M3. It's a good thing, though. It's simple and it works.

?? That doesn't look anything at all like an E36 front suspension. It looks like it has forward mounted "radius rods" or whatever they're called to resist front to back motion of the wheel vs. the L shaped lower control arm an E30/E36 used:

But maybe I'm missing something in the picture. Looks more like a 2nd gen MR2 to me...

Mark

I don't know about "doesn't look anything at all like an e36", but yep, two arms vs. one arm, my bad. I guess all Mac Struts look the same to me.

Yeah, Inside the torque tubes. I am sure of it. I see them laying around Danny Popp's place at McKluskys.

Personally that rear suspension looks REALLY nice IMO......Hell take off the calipers and tie them up and undo the subfram bolts and driveshaft and drop the entire business in one shot....For any servicing etc.

Front. Meh. Nothing exciting. Then again nothing wrong either. Doesn't really look like my BMW, but a strut front end. Stiffer springs bigger bar and camber plates and your all set....

More important questions are how much will they weigh, and what size wheels?

A guibo is like a rubber flex coupling on a steering shaft. Only BIG and on the driveshaft of BMW's

My wife has an 08 Charger R/T with virtually the same setup, not lots of adjustability. You move the whole crossmember to adjust uh...I'm not sure really, but that's what they did to set it at SRT specs. The car is a pig at #4132.....you can get back up on your chair now ! Overall, it does grunt the power down nicely if the computer doesn't shut you down (one clip of a wire to fix that one)
