I plan on buying a video camera to install in the car. At this point I have no clue as to what kind of program I should get to make some in car videos. I don't need to make a full blown production, just some editing and sound. What do you recomend?

I use Ulead Video Studio. You can download a 30 day free trial copy from their web site. I haven't done that many videos with it but it's worked fine for my limited needs.
