So... I suck.

For those that know me, that's not really a surprise (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I'm the best man for my friend's upcoming wedding, and we're having a twin bachelor party in Vegas this weekend (woohoo!). One of my jobs was getting dinner reservations for Thursday.

Uh. Shit. It's almost Tuesday. I haven't yet. Been a bit busy at work and forgot about it.

The dude loves Mexican. We're staying at the MGM Grand - we were going to just go to Diego's, but it appears that I can't get reservations there for 15 people this late in the game.

HELP. I need reservations / recommendations of a good Mexican place to go to... since it's this late, I'm pretty sure I need a hookup. Someone that can get me a reservation is much, much more valuable than just a recommendation of where to go...

Also, this is obvious, but I'm going to be in Vegas! this weekend (my first time). I'm the best man, so I'll be spending most of my time with the bachelor, plying him with drinks, keeping him from dying, and handing him singles, but if anyone wants to meet up, it'd be cool (looks at Bart).

D
(if anyone wants to contact me, just PM me or email me at vegas at dankeen (and the dot com thingie) and I'll hook you up with a cell number, etc)

In case you don't get my email:

Hi,

spoke w/ a Vegas freak @ work, and your best bet is to go down to the lobby of your hotel (MGM, I think) and grease the concierge $$$ for those reservations. He's the bitch and will make things happen. Tell him your story and make him believe that he's your hero... but it's gonna cost you... make it worth his while.
All can be bribed... What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
Good luck.

This is great advice. I was in Montreal during the GP weekend. We managed to get Sat. night reservations for about 20 people at a swank place at the last minute. And when we still didn't have drinks after 20min. there, one phone call to the concierge (on his cellphone, he wasn't even at work) and 5 waiters stormed in about 2 minutes later. He got paid, though. I left him a US hundie when I checked out and I know about ten others did at least. Being someone's bitch pays off sometimes I guess.

Don't know if you're going to have transportation or are looking at staying close to the strip. But for mexcian there is Garduno's in the Palms casino, but the Palms is off the strip. The Palms also has the Ghost Bar upstairs and the Britney Bridal Suite.

As far as handing out singles, bring a lot, it ain't cheap. Saphire Club is supposedly the world's largest gentleman's club. It used to be an athletic club that they converted. What used to be raquetball courts are now their private rooms. There's an all nude club up towards the north end of Industrial, (Babes or something like that) basically anything goes as long as you have money. Don't ask how I know, lets just say I've had a lot of construction projects in Vegas.

Also as far as what happens in Vegas staying in Vegas, our 2 year old daughter is evidence that it's not always the case...

Whatever happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas... well except the conception of someone's (not mentioning who) 2 year old child (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

If you're looking for a gentlemen's club with good talent, ask the taxi drivers. They're supposed to know all the good places and how they change periodically.

Taxi drivers in Vegas get paid by the clubs to bring you there, so more often than not they just bring you to the place that gives them the most money. Use this to your advantage (both of these plans work):
1) get the taxi ride free, you end up paying the cover or
2) get a reduced or even free entry to the club by getting dropped off NEAR but not at the club. You'll have to state you did not cab there (and they wont want to believe you...)
