Thanks buddy.

Yeah, no luck at all...someone here said they had one and would get back to me with regards to shipping but that was weeks ago.

Has anyone ever contacted UMI or BMR and requested something like this made? I know it would be a good idea for the guys that don't want or need a roll bar.

Maybe they don't know there is such a high demand for said product.

I needed a bar in 2003 for my 2007 Z28 and could not find one so I just went to my local race shop and they fabricated what I wanted for about $120.

Took out the rear side panels in the trunk to access the rear shoulder belt mounts. Fabricated a braket for each side to mount under the belts and bolted them back in. Trimmed the panels and reinstalled. The bar bolted onto the brackets. No need to remove it for passengers.

The only issue I had with my design was the long length of belt from my shoulders to the bar. Not great having it so far back but I was using it primarily for autocross, not track. You could have them bend a bar to bring it forward to just behind the seat. Remove it in 2 minutes to make the rear seat usable.

Got picks somewhere.
