I'm looking for a detailed/scale drawing of Sears Point for my grad class project. I need to get distances of straightaways, turns, etc. I may try and use GT4 to get speeds for turns, etc.

I guess the key thing is, a SCALED drawing or map. I can always measure it and break it down myself.

Thanks,
Dennis

WGI has one on their site... if you could use something other than sears point.
The WGI has lengths and corner radiuses plus the elevation changes.

Yeah, I know. That's exactly what I was hoping for using Sears Point. I was trying to pick a track that was in GT4 because I can use that as a helpful tool also.

Let me take a look at my OLOA 04 route book it might have something you can use.

This might help go down the front stretch, left kink, then left sweeper then go up the hill. Damm it looks much easier on TV (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rotf.gif)

Randy yes that track is fun. Another track that I want to go back to to do more than 5 laps.

When I was racing there I was trying to remember the track map and said screw it. On particular corner I don't know the # but its the blind uphill then down hill left. You come to the corner and only see the sky. I Didnt know where the track went and just looked for the Skid marks and used them as breaking points!!! :leaving:

I want to go back but unless I find a paying ride, I don't think I will ever be back.
Yeah my video camera didnt turn on either (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rant.gif)

Be safe John

....sounds like you are talking the entrance to the Carousel....it is SLIGHTLY uphill...cant see the turn....but as you crest the hill the track falls away VERY SHARPLY to the left in almost a circle....

As for going uphill BLINDED BY THE SUN...that is turn #2, that is blind also, but you crest the hill and turn right....both are unique "challenges".....

Is the one in GT4 with the carousel? I really need something to scale in order to take measurements off it. Thanks for the effort!
