I am building a new computer to replace the one that recently had a hard drive failure (I wanted a board with RAID on it after having no luck with a raid card and such....that's a long story). Anyway, I bought two hard drives, one was damaged and one died. I got one replaced and they ran out, so I got a refund and didn't have two matching drives. I bought IDE drives so I ordered a board that supported IDE (EIDE) raid. It's an ASUS board, it has 1.5gb SATA (raid capable) and EIDE raid capability. I also bought an Athelon 64 3800+ processor W/cooling fan (Socket 939 on both). I've decided that I don't need EIDE Raid since I don't have two matching drives (I ordered the board when I thought I had a spare drive coming). Anyway, it's all new in the box (I did break the seal on the processor box and I read the maual on the board. It's never been installed or even removed from the static wrap. I just paid $198 for both items.

Asking $185 + shipping.

Bushnell Velocity (I think it's the Velocity 2 version) radar gun. I bought this new and played with it a bit. It's a really neat toy, but I don't use it much (it's been out a few times total).

$85 + shipping

I feel like getting the radar gun and stop cop cars that speed.
here, cops aren't like in the US... you can tell them to F*** off and live to talk about it... citizen's arrest is also real here... so I would have some fun pulling some over... should be fun to see their faces... catch up to them and make them pull-over.
Ask them if they know why i was pulling them over... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rotf.gif)
then tell them to take it easy...
i'd be in trouble if I do that w/ the Camaro though... and @ risk of them giving me a ticket for speeding anyways.... but nonetheless should be fun.

Well, it reads from 10 mph to 200 mph (not metric). It's quite fun. I've clocked race cars at 131 mph, a dog at 16 and a snow ball at 14mph. It works great and runs on 2 c cell batteries. The range is 1,500 yards for a car.

How fast does traffic go bye the house???

I have one expericence I have owned a few over the yr for my sport of snowmoblie racing. I had it with me in the car playing with traffic. It was a 2 piece with the control unit on the floor and the antena between the headrest. Well there was a car with a radar dectector I was playing with, It was night and I could see it light up everytime I turned it on. 50 miles later I got off and went to work to remove. Well a car followed me in and went down the street . It turned around and came back up and he stopped and said WOW I didnt know the State plolice were using undercover grand Prix for radar. I kindly told him Im not a LEO,just checking traffic. He then seemed to get pissed off and an left. it was funny he was able to figure out which car was turning his dectector off and follow me.

John

I show most of them running 48 in a 45 by my development. I've fired it in the car and it usually shows about what my speedometer/GPS show. It seems accurate and it's self contained, just a gun.

My dream has always been to take a radar gun on a road trip, and hit people who are passing you. Nothing like a full radar alert and following slam of the brakes to wake you up....:)

What band is it? I've heard of guys buying them, hardwiring them to their cars' electrical system, then mounting them in the front bumper. Instant radar jammer!

Per my radar detector, it's K band (I was surprised it wasn't X band).

Got it.

It looks like the radar gun is headed to Texas. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Same thing with our white 95 9C1 Caprice. It also happens some with our 92 Ex-DPS Camaro, which still has the spots, but not as much as with the Caprice. :-)
