I'm looking to get my hand on the huge manuals for 4th gen... that include every single bolt spec, howto stuff, and so on.
Think it's called Haynes or something like that... unless that's something different. I need them, and wonder if anyone has soft copies of them or know where I can find them. did some searches... no luck. Thanks, |

I think they are "Helms" manuals, the official GM shop manuals. Each year has its own manual. I also have a giant pdf file of the GM Fbody parts manual that covers all 4th gen years. I might be able to email it, but it is a very large file. Anyway, if nobody pipes in here pretty quick, I'll go check them for address etc. Bock |

When I bought mine a couple years ago, Helm had a sale around christmas time. I paid $65 plus freight. The 2001's were on sale (like 95-2001) and the 2002 was still $130. So, I just bought a 2001 manual and it worked great on my 2002. If you can wait, you might watch for that. There is a thread on here somewhere. As I remember Sgarnett and I both bought a set when I posted about the sale.

Check on ebay as well. I have a 1994 model but I picked up a used 1993 Factory Shop Manual for around $20 that covers 99% of what I need for my 1994. I think I saw new ones for various year F-bodies selling for around $100 per set, but you may be able to find used ones as well.

Just MAKE SURE they are for your year. I know for a fact that some wires behind the dash changed color between certain years. Purple became brown, and so on.
You don't want to be wondering why the book shows "Purple w/ white stripe and pink" when what you see is "Brown and teal w/ white stripe". |
