F-Body Road Racing and Autocross Forums _ Classifieds _ MSD Shift light and 6100-6900 rpm chips

I have one of the new style MSD shift lights (they are now a little wider on the sides, the original design was more round). I mounted it in my '92 Z28 track car and the car only ran to get on and off a trailer a couple times. It's virtually unused, but I did tweek the mounting plate to fit the roll cage tube (it may need straightened or touched up with some black paint). I also have a package of MSD rev limiter/shift light chips (odd numbers, 6100-6900 rpm).

Pics on request.

Is this able to be connected to the stock tach, or does it have to be connected to an aftermarket unit?

It doesn't require a tach. It is self contained. Hot, ground and a tach input.

See attached pics.
