Ok so I don’t know the guys at Heidts. And this is just my opinion. I guess I kind of know how business works in that most shops wouldn’t build something unless people were willing to buy it.
With that said that “mod list” has a bunch of stuff on it that isn’t what I’d consider a problem area.
Front: I think rules permitting an aftermarket lower control arm is a good idea. Now with that said if a budget friendly way of adding a spherical bearing set to the stock arms is available that’s definitely an option too.
The tire moves around a TON even with the old ESP setup of poly everywhere except the 1LE rubber equivalent in the caster bushing location. This is something easily visible at real time speeds on an autox course.
That’s it. That’s the problem area.

The upper arms very well may “bottom out” (against the wheel well area) sooner than stock upper control arms.


Pretty much everything on the list makes the car heavier.

Ultimately a lighter car with many more stock but optimized parts would outperform this car

The passenger seat and belt is stock, all that money on the IRS r&d and they couldn't shell out to make it even. They also kept talking about how cheap the setup is and how it is better than a Vette. Even best case scenario they spent 20k on that car not including labor and a built c5 would cost that much and destroy it.

If they actually did any testing someone would have seen it, UMI and Strano cars are seen and people know how they perform, what about this one?

A watts link and full Strano setup probably can autocross or lap just as fast or faster than this, all other body mods/weights being equal. I didn't watch the vid, just looked like dudes riding around on public streets for 15 minutes - no track time or anything.
