Just wondering if anyone else was planning on making it out to this event. It'll be my first so I'm a little excited. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I need to get a room at a hotel, any recommendations on where to stay? I'll be trailering up my Hawk so are there any places nearby with a safe parking lot that I can fit everything in, or do you leave the car and trailer at the track?

Sorry for all the questions, damn newbies...lol

Thanks! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

I should be there early sat mourning if i can get all 4 315's IN the car (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) plus a jack and gear ect... sent's i can't get a trailer (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif)

I would get the car to the track and unload and unhook the trailer. Now motels are a little harder to get one that is close(rosamond) but there is allways palmdale & lancaster. Sent's i live in B-town and my wife isn't able to come till sat night i can't drive thr RV.So i stay in Mojove (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) but it's cheaper than palm/lan.

Look for the red/white firehawk....clone (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif) This is my 3rd event and i can't sleep, so try and get some sleep (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rotf.gif)

I'll be driving up Friday night, don't feel like getting up at the buttcrack of dawn to make it up there.
I was planning on entering the Cali Speedway event in March, but by the time I tried to reserve a spot it was already booked. So this time I made sure I reg'd early. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Damn...good luck on trying to get all that stuff in the car. If you're not running in HPDE 1 or 2 you might want to pull the pass seat for more room, getting 4 tires to fit in F-bods is a b***h.

I'll keep an eye out for ya, I'll be in the black Hawk (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)

damn you got it all in?? Did you manage to keep the pass seat in too?

1.5 hours isn't bad. I checked mapquest and it says about 3.5 to get to Rosamond from San Diego, so we'll see how that goes....

Where is Willow Springs? I may be relocating to the Palmdale area, and I thought the nearest track from there was Buttonwillow. A closer track is cool. :drive: John

It's right outside of Rosamond, which is just about 10-15 miles north of Lancaster. It's right down the street from Edwards AFB. It's a great track. Not that technical, very fast.

Christine and I will probably be there if she doesn't blow up the Camaro at Lone Pine this weekend. I'm doing hpde 3 in the Camaro (my first time driving that car except for a parade lap at BWillow), and she is either hpde 4'ing (what she wants) or running the Super Unlimited race (which I think she should do).

Hope to see you all there.

Yep, Cal Club puts on an Autocross at an old landing strip from WWII that serves as a cow pasture most of the year. The UCSB car club goes every year and camps out for the weekend, and tries to piss off the folks that put on the event (successfully from what I hear).

I just wanted to let you all know, that the temp's will be very high this weekend. It should be about 90/92 all weekend, but could climb up to 100 (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool2.gif)

Damn, we're bringing the wrong car then. We should bring the one that has A/C!

Thanks for the heads up.
