********PRICE REDUCTION $12,000.00 ******** 11/11/07

Hi all,

I haven't been around for awhile due to some financial realignments. Being self employed is cool but sometimes it can get sorta hinky. Good news is the realignment was a huge success even though I had to really work for a change for awhile.

On to business....

(IMG:http://www.texasinterceptors.com/images/ff_b4c_speed.jpg)

3 years ago I was heavily involved buying police vehicles at auction and flipping them. Crown Vics, Caprices, SUVs etc. It was a great gig. I picked up a 96 B4C from the City of Ft Worth with that intention. Things went terribly awry from that point (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) .

The car ended up becoming a full blown ORR participant... and a family project for myself and my 2 grown kids. That was the best part; doing it with the kids, going to the races and having those once in a lifetime experiences.

(IMG:http://www.texasinterceptors.com/images/cait3.jpg)

So why am I selling? Loss of interest pure and simple. Both kids are active duty military now and they would like race but that just doesn't work out too well. Old Dad likes to race but it just isn't the same without the kids.

Just listing this car is a monumental task because of all the mods that have been done to it.

Here is a URL to several pages that detail the buildup: B4C Build

The car is prepped and in race ready trim. It has participated in 6 ORR races and finished in each one. We ran the Texas Mile in it, an HPDE at Texas World Speedway and Nashville Superspeedway.

(IMG:http://www.texasinterceptors.com/images/tmile2.jpg)

Most notable finishes:
1st Place 145mph Class 2006 Roadrunner Open Race
2nd place 130mph Class 2005 Roadrunner Open Rad Race
4th place 135mph Class 2006 Bonneville 100
4th place 145 mph Class 2007 Big Bend Open Road Race
2006 Texas Mile 157.8mph

Big Bend 2006 Trackside video @145mph

2006 Bonneville 100 Highlights- R rated for language

I don't want to take up a bunch of Kevin's badwidth with pics. You can see tons of videos and pictures of this car here:

Open Road Racing B4C

The car has not been stripped -- still full interior including working AC, lights, etc . Up until about 3 moths ago it had a current registration and inspection. IE street legal --- sorta.

Now to the rub-- you never get back what you have invested in one of these cars-- that is a given. The biggest bargains are cars that are sorted and ready to go and that is what this one is. I have north of $30k invested and would like to recoup half of that. So let's say $15k for the whole package.

Wondered where you went....... those realignments suck. I lost a 69 Z/28 over one a those.

Damn, that thing has $10000 worth of race parts on it.

No one is responding because we don't want to lose you.

You have obviously not been running with the right group.

Rethink this, my brother. Come have fun with us in NASA-Tx ...

Bock,

Good to hear from you and thanks for the kind words.

$10k wouldn't touch it. The Unbalanced Engineering stuff was around $2k and the engine was built by a Pro over in Longview. There is $10k right there.

I wish Mitch (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif) . Ths shop up north is lonely and getting full of cobwebs. I have been working onsite - Mineral Wells, Hamilton and now Huntsville since Aug 1. Money is good and I live in my RV right there but there is no time or opportunity for piddling.

This is me. I think my top speed right now is about 11mph but I have lotsa torque.

I've pushed a little dirt in a 12L ... fun, but definitely a different rush.

Last I heard cars don't eat and cobwebs dust off ...

You are a 3.42 gear away from a damed competitive TT car.

Guys,

I drove this car at Nashville Superspeedway. It's a well sorted rocket. I have to say that I was truly impressed with Andy's toy and can tell you that this car is a giant head start if you want to build an LT1 4th gen. And it does "haul the mail" (and it sounds wicked too!).

Thanks Kevin!

If anybody wants to cross post this classified to other boards they are active on, I would appreciate it. I just feel funny jumping in the middle of somebody else's sandbox with a classified. Talked to my daughter today who is stationed in the Azores Islands. She said " Daddy, list on FRRAX first. At least they will appreciate it for what it is and understand all the sweat and money that has been poured into the car."

Mitch,

It already has 3.42 gears. Gives it a real jump off the corners at 120+.

Nice. And you say the A/C works? I wonder how that'd do as a daily-driver, too?

I'd drive it..... The cage (roll bar) and seats are not the best for daily use, but it could be done.

Yeah, my other DD is a 92 B4C, with Koni yellows, so stiff suspension is not a problem. I rather like the seating position of Kirkeys, too. An automatic, and A/C IS an issue, though, as the commute is long, hot, and deals with traffic.

Hmmmmm.

It is way loud Gene. I took it to about one car show/meet per week and always drove it if it was dry. Those KDs suck in the rain.
