New to the site! I've had a few F-bodies over the years and absolutely loved them. Was in the middle of building a street/strip drag car with my last one when our shop burned down with the car inside. A year later I purchased a 2000 SS 6sp as just a fun daily I could toy with. Well I slowly started adding suspension upgrades with the thought of doing a little auto-x from time to time. I hadn't auto-x raced in over 13 yrs and even then only a handful of times. As I was doing some work to it the announcement for LS Fest Texas came up and I immediately entered in the Grand Champion Category which included Auto-X, Track-X, Drag Racing, and Power Stop. In a matter of 4 weekends I had stripped most of the car, built a cage, put in full tubular suspension front to back, double adjustable coilovers, Brembo brake upgrade, ABS and Traction Control delete, new carpet, new MOMO racing seats and steering wheel, Harnesses, racetronix fuel pump upgrade, EVAP delete, launch control installed, installed a body kit, true dual exhaust, full stereo system (personal preference because it is still a daily-ish) and who knows what all else I completely forgot. Got to the event completely unsure of how it will handle with a fresh alignment and base settings on the shocks. After a few test laps the car handled amazing! I had an absolute blast on the auto-x and track-x. By day 2 I had developed a problem with oil getting in the cylinders under heavy braking. With the extreme temperatures and non stop rushing and hard running of the car, it developed a rod knock. I knew it was a possibility of hurting the motor with the stock pan but I didn't expect so quickly. Unfortunately I had to call it quits before I could run the power stop challenge. I have a stroked 6.0L I was in the middle of building for the car anyway but now it will need to be finished quicker than expected. Unexpectedly my car ended up as the header photo for the auto-x blog from the event on the Holley website. I had an absolutely amazing time minus the insane temps all weekend but I can't wait to finish the motor and get her back out on the track!

Here are a few videos I can't seem to embed in this forum but the links should work. All of these were my first passes out. So all were pretty tame. Things became way to hectic and way too hot and wasn't able to get more videos than these.
