Before I go cast my vote, you've fixed that 'missing third gear upshift' issue, right? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Costa's, you got that car dialed in and the bugs worked out of it? Have you been W2W racing? You going to be able to take down that Viper from last year?

You got my vote either way (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/2thumbs.gif) You had me at hello.

You have to be a cardomain member, but once you login and view Scratcher, then you will see a star system and you can 'vote' how many stars to give me. It is kinda goofy because while more stars puts me to the top of the list, GRM simply picks who they want anyway. Sure, I have a better shot if I'm at the top part, but they simply won't take the top 40 cars, they'll mix it up. I'd still appreciate the vote. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool2.gif)

Last year I was the top car for a long time, then I got posted on some m4d-tyt3-JdM forum and they all submarined me and I dropped back to the second page. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/nutkick.gif) ..heh heh heh. No biggie tho...I got in.

I hope to get in simply because I was a competitive car last year. I talked to the editor at SEMA and will also talk to him again at Daytona for the 24 and further pimp my ride to get in the show.

Thanks for the vote if you can! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool2.gif) (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool2.gif)

It hinges on a few things, but I'd like to. I've entered on cardomain and all, now just gotta see what they say.

Goodluck, hopefully I can get to VIR just to check out the facility and get a peek at some of the hardware that shows up. Never been might be a worthy roadtrip.

Thanks!
If you do make it out, stop by for sure!

Took a look at your link and like your Camaro. Tell me about the wheels and what you did to make them work if you don't mind.

What do you need to know? They're too skinny 8.5" but they are (were) available much wider, they weigh in at 21lbs if I remember correctly. I've had them for so long I'm not sure which knock off brand they are (cheap ebay find). Running 2" skulte adapters for my specific offset, a little digging and a little math and you should be able to find whatever you need to make them fit.

If I knew then what I know now, I would have went 17x 9.5's. But this Stan fella has me drooling over 18x10.5 track wheels now, so i'll keep this set for the street.

Stan,

Scratcher is in hibernation :-O
Blew the motor last year just as I took the job interfacing with the Rolex series so I went to every Rolex race thus missing pretty much everything. Told the motor builder not to rush. End of Rolex and I lost my job (company politics...long story) so I still wasn't in a hurry, but he was amassing parts (needed new block/crank) and I'm doing some consulting now and so the first of the year I told the builder 'let's go!'. Talked to him last night and he said 2 weeks. Going with a bigger cam since I pussed out the first time (compared to what the heads want).

In my garage right now is my ITA car (chevy monza, 231 even fire w/5sp) that spun a bearing a few years back and had been sitting. I'll get it back up and running and likely sell it, then get Scratcher going and shookdown. Ordering new custom AST doubles as soon as I can measure for them.

Stan, you pushing 18x10.5 track wheels now? How'd you do that? DETAILS MAN!!!

Slow, thanks for the info. I'm really REALLY torn with my 92. I used to keep it stock due to playing in FStock for autocross, but now that they've f*cked that class (long story, my opinion, blah blah) up I keep thinking 'more power...more brakes...no rules'. While I'm not doing anything right away, the thoughts are there. I love the look of the c5 z06 wheels and I have some 2" spacers that I got in trade. I'd need a 4th gen diff I guess, or another pair. But big meats with a 305tpi is kinda hilarity....so LSx? LTx? Supercharged 3.8 (low weight, stock ls1 numbers). Who knows....I'm just fishing at the moment...

Matthew, 'build documentaries', are you talking about Scratcher or Stans car or the orange slowmaro? I know Stan has some cool stuff about his and his fab work far exceeds mine (as does his patience, likely!!). I swear I'm going to get over to NPR and run with your group sometime!!

Thanks for the votes folks, now hopefully everything else pans out and I can make it.

Costas, Sorry to hear about your misfortune with the job and everything.

There's not much to it. Buy the wheels and 2" spacers, and bolt them on (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) It was actually one of the easiest things I've done to the car (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I'll make a new post and throw up some pics.

Costas - I was talking about Scratcher, but I'll go take a look at Stan's, too.

You talking about "more power, more brakes, no rules" for your 92 - that would fit right in at NPR. Do whatever you want to your car, qualify, and run where your qualifying puts you. In fact, we've got at elast 2 guys who are seriously thinking about building "sucker-cars" out of their current racers.

Wish you could come in mid-April. We're gonna have a fun time, and double the racing!

Stan, I figured you went 4th gen axle route...Oops.

Matthew, I doubt I'll be ready that quick, but I do want to come over that direction this year! I hear good things about ya'lls group!

As for the 92, I have evil thoughts, but it will almost surely stay street legal. It pulls 21 in town and 27 on the highway and blows cold air. Besides, I only have the 92 and a truck and I do NOT want to daily drive the truck. It's a dmax and all so it goes just fine, but its pretty slow in the corners. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

What do ya'll require for logbooks and such?
