A BMW owner emailed this link to me:

Mitch, these guys are in the D/FW area. You have to respect guys who understand the value of an American V8, even if they are a little misguided about the car they're going to put one in. Heck, the GTO is out now right?

Of the open track events I've participated in, the DFW BMW club is by far the best.

Lots of nice people. Who knows ... maybe they got the idea about an LS1 after seeing Chuck and I chew up the M3s ... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Personally I love the idea. People have been putting V8's in RX7's for years but the E36 is a more practical, easy to live with platform. They do have alot of little details to work out but I'm sure they will get through it. I only wish they would update their site more often!

Jason <---- Might be looking for a 318is and an LS1 soon (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Looks like a good idea to me. Ls1's are turning out to be the popular motor for engine swaps. The more popular, the more we benefit from aftermarket support.

You mean there was an insignia on the shirt? Totally missed it. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
