Hi, my name's John. Found a link to this forum on another one, and it looks like my kind of place! I've got a bird I bought back in the early 90's and just keep upgrading. I use it for drags, HPDEs, LSRs and drive it on the street. Eventually I'll be going open road racing with it also. Everyone likes pics so here's a couple.

Beautiful car, love those early second gens. Kind of funny what you've done to keep the rear seat. I'm not sure you are fooling anyone anymore by having it though (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

well I'm not a big guy thats for sure! Passenger has a bigger seat and opening to climb in.

Pablo: The rear seat just makes the area look finished. The seat bottoms are just foam cut to the shape of the originals with the covers on them.

SuperMacGuy: Ya, caught me. Gotta give the next guy something to do. He can "restore" the ashtray IF I don't ball up the car.

Thanks for the compliments everyone! I'll be searching and learning here. Nice to see an AERO section. I'll be working on some things for my car soon.

Thanks! A member here tried to post a link to an Aero thread posted on this forum over on Pro-touring.com. I think Gaetano probably saw the same link I did. I'm glad someone posted it allowing me to find this place!!

Welcome!

That's a nice ride. What's under the hood?

My second car, first that wasn't a hand-me-down was a Lucern Blue 72 455HO-4sp Trans Am. I sold it to a collector in North Carolina. My second was a Arctic White 71 455HO auto that was my first CP car. It now belongs to a collector near my house. At least I still get to see that one every once in a while. They look really nice in red.
