I need to get a shipping quote for the harness bar I'm selling for a couple of people. I know one of the two is a pain for unboxed stuff, but I cannot remember which I used when I shipped sway bars unwrapped. I'd just go to boht, but I live a decent way from the FedEx and UPS hubs.

I don't remember who the bar I shipped was finally carried by - darned old age creeping in.

I dropped it off at a FedEx/UPS place. I'm pretty certain they packed it in a bicycle box and sent it UPS. Shipping charge was pretty steep. You could call UPS and ask how much shipping would be for XX pounds in a bicycle box to give you an idea.

I've shipped and had shipped sway bars via UPS without wrapping them.

It was a few years ago, though.

UPS told me the wouldn't take anything that wasn't boxed. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

One location wouldn't take it at all, another made it fit into the bicycle box.
