Thatís what the fastest Vette in my class beat me by. My goal in life is to be faster than those guys.

I already posted this video, but for reference, here it is again. The lap timer was lagging for some reason, but you get the idea.

My LSD is completely shot. Iím losing tons of time out of right handers. I have to manage the right rear wheel spin until the wheel is damn near straight then I can get on the gas. Iíd be willing to bet Iím loosing a full 2-3 seconds just from that alone. Then there are the brakes. I have to be very careful and canít get on them hard because of axle hop. Once I install the bias controller, Iíll be able to get on the brakes much harder and sooner after jumping off the gas. Iím thinking maybe another full second a lap there.

So with those two things, thatís already 3-4 seconds. Whatís cool is Iím under power and over weight and even then, Iíll be in the upper 1:40ís. Thatís a very respectable time. Even right now, people were surprised that Iím in the low 1:50ís.

More power will come when I swap an LS1 along with 120lbs of lightness between engine and transmission and UMI crossmember.

What are your thoughts on Lexan rear glass? Worth the price?

Iím also thinking about stepping up to 18ís and running a 295 tire, the widest NT01. Maybe someday theyíll make a 315.

Iíve read a lot about Shocks. Mine are adjustable Koni fronts and Sams revalved rears. Iím thinking UMIís shock package would probably help, but Iím not sure.

What else?

Front aero?

Remember the car needs to stay street legal.

With the brake bias fixed and a working LSD, I would have been faster than the majority of the cars there. Thatís pretty exciting. With some more work, itíll be track monster.

Thanks guys!

I canít even get a response on Facebook. Everything I search is ďthow that 10 bolt in the trashĒ.

I want to remove my stock LSD out of my 1997 rear end and install a True Track (most likely).

What do you guys think? Should I even attempt it?

I notice a slight clunk in the rear end, especially in the right rear. I found that I have some vertical play that clunks, Seems to be coming from the hub area.

Wheel bearings? This is a stock 10 bolt.

Thanks.

Off, it was showing 12.5 volts. Running was 13.4 at the cables, 13.1 from the unused posts on top. The gauge inside usually shows less than 13.

It doesn't have a hard time starting but the battery will show about 50%. Autozone couldn't even do a test because the battery was so low.

I'm thinking battery.

To make installing headers fun.

But what is fun is making my wife start the car with no exhaust!
