Hello, I am new to the site. I came here to learn more about road racing. I have been thinking of taking my car to an open track day, or an auto X. I have several friends that compete in the Silver State Classic and the Nevada Open Road Challenge.
I am not new to forums, just this one. |

Welcome to our little group... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Sounds like a strong drag race setup you have there! |

Yes, that is what the car is built for, but I would also like to throw on my sway bars and set my shocks for a road race every now and then.

I can relate to that. My car is built with the intent to do it all... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
A few compromises, but it can be done. Weight reduction helps in all situations. Other than driver experience, it's just suspension, tires, and brakes that make the difference... :drive: (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (makes it sound so easy huh!?) |

It allways sounds easier than it is. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
So is the turbo kit on yet? My friend just put a Turbo Tech T76 kit on his 02 TA, it should be wicked. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) |

Suspension - I put on some Koni SA's. I can firm them up for autocross or road racing, and soften the fronts for drag racing. I also put Eibach pro-kit springs on it. Bigger sway bars (35/21), poly bushings and end-links for the sway bars, aluminum rod-ended PHB.
Launch control - ET Streets for drag racing, 18" street tires for cornering. 1LE lca's, lca relocation brackets, TA girdle, SJM line lock, bmr adjustable torque arm. Power/durability - v6 to v8 swap. TEA heads, comp cam, MAC headers, gutted y-pipe, LS6 intake, ported TB, conversion to front breather for better cooling, underdrive pulley, arp rod bolts, HS rockers, jwis timing chain, ported oil pump, added to the baffling in the oil pan. Tranny - 3000 rpm converter, shift kit, billet servos. Weight reduction - bmr k-member, lightweight battery, reduction from front bumper support, no egr or air pump or a/c. To do's - Z06 front brakes, brake ducts, STS turbo, more weight reduction, roll bar. |

QUOTE (Mykdiver @ Dec 30 2004, 08:44 AM) So is the turbo kit on yet? I'm shooting for late Jan or early Feb for the install. My end target is 600rwhp without methanol. Probably will have to spring for an OBX fmic to get there reliably. |

I wonder why they didn't just keep it up? My forum is just getting started, but if it does not take off, I am going to keep it up, because I enjoy it. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
