Your videos are well worth the wasted time at work (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/2thumbs.gif) Haha, thanks. Here's the next round of time wasters: Earned myself a DQ and I'm not talking about Ice Cream. Sat. August Mid-Ohio 2018: https://youtu.be/oyssMIQK-T0 Missed it by that much. Carbon fiber driveshafts are the least reliable race car parts I’ve ever seen. Cost us a few races, refuse to ever use them again. Not worth the weight savings.

I was just considering one from ACPT for open road racing (concerned about balancing / vibration, and critical speed) ... any thoughts on if it would survive (pretty much in high gear(s) 90% of the time) ? Or bad idea ? ~DaVe |

With the amount of failures I’ve seen, I’d rather not run carbon.
Consider NASCAR cup cars do 200 all day long with steel driveshafts. Our TA2 car has a steel shaft, and it’s smooth at 170. Get something nice from Mark Williams or Dynotech. It won’t vibrate. If you have a vibration it won’t be from one of their driveshafts. |

I sent an email to Dynatech asking for pricing on their 3" Chromoly driveshaft # CA/TA-CHM-3.0 ~DaVe |
