FS: 99 Camaro SS 6m 8,800 miles
8,800 original miles. Really.

Car is black with charcoal leather interior.

Monsoon stereo w/12 disc changer

Chrome ZR-1's

BFG KDWs

SLP Lid

SLP Dual/Dual (FM80)

QTEC electric Cut-out

SLP Bilstien/Eibach

SLP SFC's

SLP STB

Lakeland traction bars

Hurst shifter/short stick

SLP fan switch

4.10s

Limo tint (5%) all around, including T-tops

Gears done by Broward Powertrain, Exhaust by Prospect Muffler, Chassis work, fan and cut-out switch installation in ashtray by Redline Performance.

Comes with bra, cover, three sets of floor mats (2 sets "Camaro SS", one new in bag), T-top covers.

Bad stuff: blown front speakers, exhaust cut-out stuck open, ran over plastic bag last week, stuck to y-pipe hasn't burned off yet so it stinks.

Car is otherwise immaculate. $17,500 OBO. Serious inquiries only, please.

Will consider partial trades for racing parts for 95 LT1 Camaro.

Anyone going?
10 Dec 2004
I'm not sure which forum to put this in, so mods please feel free to move it.

After stripping my car's interior, the hand brake lever mechanism is exposed. It looks bad, but the aesthetics are not a big concern. However, there are some sharp edges there, that I don't relish the thought of hitting with my arm.

Anyone have any suggestions for a boot or cover for this thing?

Sorry about the thread title: I couldn't resist.

I've removed most of the interior from my 95 Z28, and I'm looking for some suggestions as to what else to strip. This is going to be a dedicated track car, and I'm looking to lose just about as much as I can.

So far, I've removed the seats, carpet, door panels, windows/motors, hvac controls, vents, glove box, center console, pillar covers and headliner.

I'm inclined to remove the airbags. Is this a good idea?

Next to go will be the heating/air conditioning. Anything else I can remove from under the hood? Will removal of emissions cause computer problems?

Finally, the dash is in abysmal shape: the top pad is gone (prior owner covered with a pre-fit carpet pad), and the gas guage is shot. Has anyone removed then entire dash and replaced the guages with, say, autometers in a column-top "pod". Is this even really possible or desireable.

As always, thanks for indulging me, and please don't hesitate to tell me where I'm approaching this from the wrong angle.

Best,
Andrew
