I have several LCA/PHR reducer/spacers made up and ready to go.
They are made from 4140CM and fit the XM 3/4" Rod Ends that many are using when making the Aluminum LCA/PHR set ups. You can use your stock bolts with this set up.

$10 for each end, a LCA set would be 8 total pieces and would cost $40 shipped. If you do not need a full set we can work that out.

PHR would be $20 shipped.

I picked up some of these and got them in this week, bump for some nice looking pieces and good service.

Cool, but why do you spring for CM for this application?

Posted by: RumbleZ Nov 30 2007, 04:14 PM

Well for me, these were readily available and since I was picking up some of the PAC springs from Herron I went ahead and picked some spacers up too. No other reason really, they were there, and I needed to do something about spacers.

CM is lighter right :-)
Actually the guy I had to make them looked at it and said he would get me them made of CM and I said OK.
These are really nice, I can send pix if you need them.

I wasn't questioning your purchase, just Herron's design choice. There's nothing wrong with using CM, though.

Was my explantion sufficient?

I got more.

That's a good deal. When I made my LCAs, the spacers were a little cheaper. However, I had to cut them and grind them to get them to fit perfectly. I would have gladly spent a few extra $ for drop-in pieces.

Question - do you offer 2 types of LCA spacers? One for centering the arm and one for offsetting it to the inside (for more tire clearance). Just curious.

Posted by: Herron Performance Dec 14 2007, 05:07 PM

Yeah, the first sets i made were cutting up parts like most on here did but these are the stuff now, just 2 pcs to deal with and they fit perfectly.
I currently do not have any offset bushings made but that is very simple and if there were a few people interested I could have some of them made too.

What about the rubber ends? I have the ones that require the larger bolts, but I haven't installed the larger bolts yet...heh. I'll probably get a set either way, but if you have the rubber end reducers, I'll be happyhappy.

what rubber ends are you speaking of? I have used the left hander chassis rubber ends instead of rod ends on a set up with success but not sure that is what you are talking about. and I do not have the rubber boots that fit over the REs to keep dust out.

do you have an email to send pix?

Yeah, the Rubber ends are the ones you are talking about. Here's a pic.

SFCs, LCARBs going in before Jan. banana.gif

Are the bolt holes in the rubber ends are too larger for the stock LCA bolt? Are your reducers the correct size to use in the rubber end that will work with the stock LCA bolt?

Once I purchse some FK rod ends ill be interested in a set of spacers myself.

Posted by: Herron Performance Dec 18 2007, 12:36 PM

The rubber ends I used I *THINK* did need a reducer to run the length of the bushing, I probably got those laying around in length that could be cut to fit.
I assume the FK REs would be the same dimensions as the QA1 but can not guarantee, I chose the QA1 RE to fit b/c that is the most common.

Posted by: infectus Dec 18 2007, 02:55 PM

The rubber ends I used had to have a reducer put in so that it would fit the LCA bolt. I think they were a 1" I.D. without the reducers and the reducer has a 1/2" I.D. The stock bolts aren't quiet 1/2".... I think the bolts are 7/16" or something like that. I got my reducers from you.

Posted by: 00 Trans Ram Dec 18 2007, 07:32 PM

The stock bolts are 12mm, I think. 1/2" = 12.7mm

Are the parts used for the PHB and the LCA's the same?

IE, I need the axle end for a pair of of LCAs and then both sides for a panhard bar.

So can I order the $40 shipped set? IF so, where do I place the order?

Thanks,

Ryan

Posted by: Herron Performance Feb 6 2008, 02:27 PM

The PHR and LCA parts are different sizes.
We can mix and match what you need.
So you need 4 total LCA bushing/spacers and 4 total for the PHR.

$40 shipped is right, I can take paypal at shon@herronperformance.com and just reference in there what you need or reference FRRAX thread.

Let me know if you have other questions.

SH

If you have enough to do 3 ends, I will take them. I can Paypal and the total will be $30?

You want LCA or PHR? I do have enough to do 3 ends of either or a mixture.

I am just curious. How do you get 3 ends. Odd number. Things usually come in pairs of 2.
