Anyone done it?

What sort of spacer is needed?

This is an older style 16 x 10 Corvette rim, BTW

What Corvette wheels were 16x10??? I know early 16" C4 rims were 8.5" rims, I believe only 1 or 2 styles, then they moved up to 17x9.5" wheels, in 3 styles, but I don't recall any stock C4 wheels being 16x10? I am assuming you are talking about some stock C4 wheels, correct?

I think 16x9.5 was used at one end, at least in an option package.

FWIW, my 16x10 CCW's have a 1/4" spacer bolted to the back of the hub. The effective offset with the spacer is about 39~40mm.

Ding Ding! I think we have the winner here.

Apparently there is some discussion as to whether or not these rims are 9.5 or 10 inch. I think they come off an early 4'th gen.

Sounds like 1/4 inch will work. Thanks guys!

They may not be pretty but I think they will make nice track wheels.

A guy in our club was running them on his 02' SS without any spacers that I know of. It wouldn't hurt to check (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I'm not sure how close the dimensions are between my CCW wheels and the Vette wheels. The following measurements are the net measurements with bolted-in spacer.

back spacing = 7.125"
total width = 11.125"
offset = 1.56" (39.6mm)

I don't know whether that means you need a spacer with the real Vette rims or not. If the offset is 38mm, you may not need any spacer.
