Im not sure where to dig around for this info but I am thinking of removing the washer reservoir to drop some weight and even mount my accusump but wondering if this would be SM legal? Looking around the net I don't see any mention of if in the rules.

I'm not familiar with the SM ruleset, but if it doesn't say you can, you can't. If you cannot, though, you can certainly have it there holding nothing but air.

16.1.I from the 2014 Solo rulebook reads as follows:

"Front hoods (engine covers), engine covers, trunk lids and hatches not containing glass, front fenders, rear fenders not part of chassis structure (unibody), front & rear fascias, and side skirts may be modified or replaced, and may be attached with removable fasteners. Associated hardware including latches, hinges, window washer system, and hood liners may be modified, removed, or replaced."

The washer reservoir is certainly part of the window washer system, but whether the reservoir itself is considered "associated hardware" with the hood...that might be a stretch. Could go either way. You could always ask on RRAX or SCCAForums.
