Got a gallery of shots somewhere Nick? How did your stints go? Jason Yah, most of the pics I've taken are up here: http://gallery.noid.org/gallery/2007-25hour My stints went very smoothly. I did 19:50 to 22:15, 04:30'ish to 07:00 and brought it home with the 10:45 to 12:00 stints. The first stint was pretty uneventful (Other than getting myself to settle in and run 2:13's and not 2:09 - 2:10s). The second stint was a bit tougher. There was some intermittent rain during the first part of the stint which with a combination of trying to save the brakes made it a bit challenging to bang out laps. I had a couple of moments, particularly in turn 3 where I went a bit wide and started to slide pretty badly in the slag and dirt that was offline. It didn't help that people started driving like jackasses for a while. It wasn't long before those folks ended up in the infield and thing settled down. The biggest drama came around 6:45 or so when I got divebomed by an MX5 cup miata going into turn 11. The asshat hit me just in front of the left rear wheel and then the left front wheel. The impact spun me around and stalled the motor. I got it fired back up and after giving the car a bit of shake back and forth going down the back straight figured that the only damage was probably some toe-in on the left front wheel so I kept on banging laps out till I got called in for a driver's change. -- Nick |

I think it was mostly because we were trying to do only 1 pad change and were therefore not using the brakes much....
Hey Nick, did you get any of me at night? Jason S. |

I know (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) We were not running over the crows nest. Not sure which way SCCA runs it. Jason S. The SAME way......EVERYTIME! Counterclockwise....full course....crows nest included. I have been kind of dismayed that it is OUR track....it was DESIGNED to be run in multiple configurations/directions and we NEVER use it that way.....everyone else does, but us......nah! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggthumpup.gif) There is NOTHING quite like negative Gs to give one the sensation of "flying on the ground"!!! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/gr_grin.gif) Do the corner workers in that area hold up score cards to judge each car's "hang time"/landing?
