There's a guy on LS1tech selling a set of SSR Competitions 18X9.5/10.5 with Pirelli PZeros (not much tread left) - asking $900
Is this a good deal? Are these rims good? He says they're about 18-20/lbs a piece for the rims. Should I go for them or get a set of 17"X11"? What options do I have without having to rob a bank? |

SSR are good wheels. One thing to take into account is the cost of tires for 18 inch rims, its usually quite a bit more that 17's

Tom is right about tire cost.
Example: -Shaved Toyo RA1 275/40/17 = ~$220/tire -Shaved Toyo RA1 275/35/18 = ~$320/tire |

I passed on the deal anyways, he still has it for sale though. They were bought off a Corvette and he runs 1/4 spacers and they still were far inside the wheel wells on his car. I don't fancy spacers much and would've required a lot more spacer to get it to fit like I wanted it

Looks like with Hoosiers it's only ~ $20/tire, though. I guess it depends on what you are trying to do with the car.
