The One Lap of America School is in a couple of weeks. Details:

http://www.beaverun.com/event_one_lap_of_a...hool_dinner.htm

I plan to be there. Like last year, I will run my CMC car on Saturday and my street car on Sunday (weather permitting - I don't run in the rain or snow unless there are points or Toyo bux on the line).

Anyway, for those of you unfamiliar with this, it is essentially a two-day lapping day event with the classroom sessions focused on clearing driver's to race in the One Lap of America event. I was there last year and managed to meet and chat with Brock Yates. He even looked over my CMC car and approved.

This is a unique opportunity to participate in a lapping day AND rub elbows with some drivers you might have heard of.

Anyone thinking of coming? It's always good to see the f-bodies out there.

I can say it is a very laided back couple of day's. Just because it is geared for OLOA anybody can go and have some fun. I had Burt Leive(spelling) as my instructor and we hit it off very well. I was cleared SOLO in just 2 sessons.

Keith would love to do another track day, I wasnt on the race sled this yr and im looking for a speed fix, I'm working Sat until after this event. Cant make it for Sun. Never had my crown vic cop car on the track.

Later Enjoy

Keith it was great to me you, your dad and Kent. Glad we could finally meet and dicuss things. I really appricate saying a bit longer to give me some lap times. I stayed around for the last session and only had 4 cars in the group. Only drawback was everyone was on slicks except me, But I was much faster than the session you timed. Yeah, yesterday was unbelievable for weather and track conditions. It was so, so nice to get back out there after an 11 month hiatus.

Also after hearing Rudy talk about that Z06 you were driving, I was GREEN with envy. You lucky bast*&d! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Good luck at the OLOA and please report back.

I should of taken you with me!!!!!!! To give me some Pointers..... The white gt3 with gage, with racing tires. I was able to match his laps. The 2 other race cars I let them go so to not hold them up, (they would get resonably close on the corner's) I didnt want to hold them up one bit) but once they were in front they held me up..... Cause I could make it all up on the straight away's and then some. Its just funny following the one car and seeing the front tires come off the ground. Ahh my lack of side by side Race experience.

Yeah Keith OEM parts!!!!!!! LOL

John - I was on 3-hours sleep and didn't even think of offering to ride with you. My bad. Sorry.

I didn't take the time to checkout the south track's progress. From where I was, there was evidence that they cleared out the forest where the track is supposed to go but I've had a sense (for about a year now) that these guys are making progress as funds allow and while there might be a target date, there is nothing firm. It sure will be very nice when it is finished...
