With the merger (I think that's what it was) of Champ Car with IRL, Champ Car is auctioning off a whole crapload of stuff, including three thirdgens which appear to have been pace cars at some point:

82 Orange Z28 Camaro ... VERY nice! I really like the nose treatment.

LOL, My wife and I where looking at the pictures yesterday and we though the same! Although we may be considering going on a field trip as they do have some video equipment that we would be interested on.

For me, it was the fender skirts that put it over the top ... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I remember seeing the first car pictured and thinking "wow, it's pretty cool how they "morphed" it into something recognizable and yet different". If I had any money (and a place to store it), I'd love to own that one.

I like that '82 Z28! There's lots of cool stuff in general, too. If I had tons of cash I'd have to buy the pink LeBaron just to blow it up or something (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/puke.gif)

I think the pink LeBaron is Kevin's "Changing Directions" car.

Maybe he's changing more directions than we first thought?
