Raybob - Have you taken the car to a frame shop? I believe that upper quarter is service replaceable. If the cowl is intact (I don't see a broken windshield) and the Apillar isn't moved reaward (cant quite see the rear door gap but it looks straight in the pic) and the pan isn't buckled too badly then it might be fixable.

If not, plenty of clean rust free donor cars out here.

Raybob... I sure hated to hear about your car and then see the pictures. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

You better get something done by Hallett next year. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/drink.gif)

While that looks a bit worse than mine....I agree with Alan.....don't write it off until taking it to a GOOD frame shop.....not a quicky churn and burn insurance shop. It **might** make it....if not.....donor cars surprise me every time I look at our cars....cheap!

Sorry for your trouble though....glad you are OK!

Bummer man! Having been there and done that I can empathize...either fix that taco or bolt the goodies onto a donor. You'd be surprised what they can fix these days! Hope you are fully recovered, I know you can't do that and not be at least sore!

The Tub has been beat and banged so much its cheaper to just start with a new Tub.
Last summer I bought a super clean 99, 00 ?? LS1 6 speed Z28 for 3K. I been driving
it on Saturday nights and it looks like its my next AI car, its even Black!!!

Julie, The neck pains and black and blue marks are all healed up now, always wear your
HANS device!!!
Here she is in my driveway last summer.

It has a nice graphite leather interior and its loaded.
So hopefully I can sell off that stuff on ebay or craigslist.

Being new to this forum, I just found this. Sorry about your car, and glad your OK.
Have you started on the new car yet? Anything you plan to do different this time?
As you know I'm new to this F-body deal, so I'm still working on my plan.

I need to get with Alan Blaine to get this project moving forward. I've had my car for two days, and I'm already anxious about not having anything completed.

Good luck, feel free to contact me directly

That's a wise decision to go with Alan Blaine on race prep. I did that and mine is one of the nicest in the CMC fleet!

Dave,
Mr. Blaine is the F-Body God/Guru and I could not think of anyone who will help you more.
09 AI Championships will be an all GM Podium!!!!

Look what I found, I think this is Daves Mustang?

All GM podium? Someone figure out how to get me to MMP (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

That's actually Brian Groth's Mustang. AI in the Midwest used to have a fleet of Orange Mustangs: Dave (#27), Matt Erickson's old car (#12), and Brian Groth (#23).

I made several attempts at inserting a recent photo of my car, but I can't seem to make it work. The image is hosted at another site. Someone want to give me a step by step?

So, here's a link to the 2008 AI poster. I'm #12 blue and orange
