Howdy,

I'm hoping that as the season draws to a close people will be starting to sell off some stuff...

I still need a set of 17x11 36mm wheels. I'd prefer the early "deep dish" AFS zr-1 replicas, but would consider anything.

Have to be round & true, don't care about cosmetics.

Thanks!

Mark

I have a race this weekend with my AFS ZR1's that have Nitto NT-01's with quite a bit left on them. I haven't decided whether I want to keep them or sell them. If you are interested the whole setup, I can shoot you a message in a week or two and give you some pics. BTW, I am heading to Ashtabula for Thanksgiving.

Howdy,

I'm interested, especially if these are early AFS wheels, but still interested even if not. 36mm, right?

I can't say I particularly want the tires, but depending on price for the package I'll take them and re-sell them.

We can figure something out for Ashtabula certainly... Either meet halfway (I'm in Youngstown) or I can come all the way up there or whatever.

Let me know!

Matt,
I saw your response, but missed the name. I was thinking cool, this guy is nearby, I'll get in line for these.

Then I realized it was you, and that they are chrome, not black.
And we all know black wheels make you faster... thats just science!

marka - sounds good. Yes - these are 36mm all around. Two are polished and two are chrome, but you don't notice the difference on the car and you could always do them by sides anyway.

SubtleZ28 - I have to let other folks use the fast black wheels. Gives other people a chance. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

In all seriousness, I may be interested in the tires if you seperate. Keep me in the loop.

Howdy,

Sounds good... I don't care about polish/chrome/whatever. Hell, they can be pink as long as they're round and true...

:-)

Are they the early AFS or later?

Let me know when you decide you want to sell and what price you'll want for them. I'd rather just have the wheels, so if subtleZ28 wants the tires and we can do it that way, all good by me. If you don't want to deal with that, I can pull the tires and sell them myself.

OK, Mark Mark (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Sounds like a good strategy.

I have no idea how to tell new versus old AFS. Give me a hint and I'll try to figure it out. What is better and why?

Weigh them. :-) The earlier ones are a little lighter than the later ones.

The earlier ones look like this:

(those are the factory original zr-1 wheels... Hence the price.) Some people call them "deep dish".

The later ones look like this:

The visual difference is the inner part of the wheel between the lug holes.

Here are the pictures. Looks like they are the deep dish type. Please shoot me an offer both ways - with tires and without. Pics for Shaun as well - shoot me an offer for the tires if you are still insterested.
