I was in Washington DC earlier this month. Was walking to a meeting, and saw this pulled up outside the Longworth building. As I had a few minutes, I went over for a closer look. The only thing that was odd about it was that there were a few people standing around it and looking at it.

It's not exactly a Tesla Roadster, but it was pretty cool. Other than the badges, it looked 100% stock from the outside and the interior. Got a chance to look under the hood and crawl around it a bit. Those bits didn't look stock!

From what I heard and read, it'll probably not make it. Only 150 miles per charge and top speed of 90mph isn't wonderful. But, performance should be pretty good. Being an electric, it has all torque all the time. That would be nice while doing an autox. And, the weight is about the same as a standard Sky.

Costing a a bit over $50,000 when all is said and done is a bit pricey for a Saturn. I think it is cool but again how long does the charge last running it at full throttle? In Top Gear's review of the Tesla they found that when abusing it around the track it got far less mileage than was advertised. Plus was prone to the motor overheating and it took 12hrs to recharge. This may not be the case for this car but I think I'll wait for the Hydrogen Combustion Engines or even fuelcell cars to become a reality.

Actually, I think those are very real concerns. 150 miles is a best-case-scenario. To me, the expense isn't justified.

I just thought it was pretty cool to be able to see and sit in the first one of its kind.
