Howdy,
'99 z28, ESP prep, no a/c, no emissions, etc. I still haven't tracked down an issue I've been having with my car missing on a cylinder, mostly due to lack of time / desire to work on it. I also figure I should install an LS6 intake, and get the car tuned properly for that plus other already installed (ESP) stuff. Can anyone recommend someone to work on this thing in say a 6-ish hour radius of Youngstown, OH (between Pittsburgh, PA & Cleveland, OH)? Cheaper is better, but "working car" is better than that. Needs to be someone that won't freak when they open the hood and all the emissions stuff is gone, etc. I have HPTuners, so if they use that and have unlocked tunes, that would be ideal. If you're someone knowledgeable and want a side project, that would be cool too. Appreciate any pointers! Everyone else's ESP car seems to be "turn the key and it just runs", and my car needs to become that or I'm going to set it on fire. Mark This post has been edited by marka: Feb 1 2009, 05:11 AM |

Post this same thread here.
http://www.lsxperformanceparts.net/forums/ These guys are local and largely drag racers (focus is on engines). The core group over there is also the group that won on SpeedTV's Pinks two years ago with the LS1-powered 240ZX that they built specifically for the show. At least 2 guys over there have their won shops specializing in tuning and modding LS1 engines. Sign up and tell them KeithO sent you. I've been trying to get them out to autox's and track days to show them what it's like to use the steering wheel. One guy did and I think he will be coming out to the SCR events with his LS1 'bird this year. This post has been edited by KeithO: Jan 31 2009, 01:21 PM |

I had a randon misfire code in mine for a while, I chased down every possible thing I could think of in the ignition and fuel system, turned out to be a broken valvespring... I almost set mine on fire too
