As many of you know the LS1 in my car took a "dump" ( #7 ring) in May. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/nutkick.gif)
Happy to report that car is now sporting a LS6 with a 228/232 cam, stock heads, and a grocery list of small items. People that did the work are not sponsors, so leaving the name out. If you want the info pm me and happy to share. we dynoed the car yesterday...........440 rwhp and 409 rwtq (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/2thumbs.gif) Gary |

Those #s sound good to say the least!
How do you like it over the old setup? : Are you changing anything else to take advantage of your added ponies? |

What springs did you use?
It'll be interesting to see what the differences in our engines are. Mine is roughly the same, but with a reverse-split cam. I'm assuming you have LS6 heads. I've got stock 243 LS1 heads. So, that will make a small difference. And, I'm sure that my dyno day (tomorrow) will be 95* and 90% humidity. But, I'm more interested in the shape of the curve, rather than numbers. Do you have a pic of the curve itself? I wanted mine to give me more mid-range, with some tradeoff up high. |

Patriot Gold duals. Heads are stock LS6 never touched. Dyno was posted on that "other" board (starts with LS1...ends with tech) under ls1/ls6 engine. Mine pulls up to 6500.....sweet spot seems to be in the 3500-6500 rpm range. I will know better when I go to my next ( read 1st this year!!!) track event at the end of August.
