Hey everyone, Im new to this type of racing idea. Well anyways Im just looking around to see where I should go as far as what I should do to my car next and etc.
It kinda set up for going in a straight line right now, but I want to change that. Like I said, going in a straight line is getting REALLY old for me, I really need an idea what line to follow next. Basic Mod List Its a 383 Stroker(Scat Forged bottom end Flex plate up), Milled Heads, LT4 Hot Cam Kit, 1.6 Roller Tip Rockers, High Volume Oil Pump MSD Ignition(just redone a couple months ago(about 500 miles on it)), 26lb injectors, LT4 Knock sensor, K&N Intake 160 Degrees Thermostat, Edelbrock shorty headers, Flowmaster cat-back exhaust piping with Borla Pro XS Muffler, Tuned by MC Racing, Marshall(Blueprint) Stage 3 tranny with TCI Street Fighter Stall It a 3.23 Posi car also. Spohn Tubular Sub-Frame Connectors Spohn Tubular Shock Tower Brace Spohn Tubular Panhand Bar Spohn 25mm Sway Bars Spohn Rear LCA Relocation Brackets BMR Adjustable Torque Arm Bump-Steer Kit Eibach "Sportline" Lowering Springs KYB AGX Shocks and Struts 393hp/458tq @ the flywheel.(RWHP-314.7 RTQ is 366.5) Dyno was on old tranny, this one has a lot less power loss (IMG:http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f105/Jamesmeeks21/100_2028.jpg) (IMG:http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f105/Jamesmeeks21/100_2029.jpg) (IMG:http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f105/Jamesmeeks21/100_2030.jpg) (IMG:http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f105/Jamesmeeks21/100_1809.jpg) (IMG:http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f105/Jamesmeeks21/100_1815.jpg) Thanks |

Welcome!
With a name like psycho, you should fit right in ... especially with that left coast crowd. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |

Welcome aboard.
First thoughts - Plan on spending lots of time in the 'Chassis and Suspension' forum. Don't be afraid to try an autocross without doing a whole lot to the car, though I'd stay away from open-tracking it at this point. Learn to drive the car with steering and accelerator control inputs that are as smooth as you can possibly make them (i.e. just how abruptly does that torque converter want to act?). I've seen a guy with a dragstrip car run an autocross where that advice was either not made or not followed. All I'll say just yet is 'don't be that guy' (he made one truly embarassing run and disappeared, never to be seen again). Norm |

This has got to the be best post I've seen here in years! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/2thumbs.gif) If you follow this advice Psycho you'll be fine. I am curious about how that torque converter will affect any non-turning driving! Welcome! There is a lot for you to learn here if you are interested.
Welcome aboard.

Norm Im not sure completely what you mean about the stall, but as long as I keep my RPMs above the stall I never know its there. |
