I've rallied a good bit before and understand street legal The ONLY way for Carl Merrill's (rest his soul) Escort Cossie RS to be 'street legal' would have been if he had put a base, stock, U.S. spec Escort's VIN plate on it!! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rotflmao.gif) Thank God for L.E.O.s who look the other way at all of the U.S. performance/PRO stage rallies!! |

Tires: you will want a good all around High Perf tire. I Don't remember the rules but everyone had thier choice...the open class and some real tarmac tires while most others ran 1 season radial. Durable tires are key...one flat and forget it for the stage/day, so when the navigator says "don't cut"...don't CUT the corner (or tire). I would imagine that even the hardest compound true tarmac rally tires would not last very long on those roads (like 2-3 stages at best??).
