After

(IMG:http://i539.photobucket.com/albums/ff356/n2sking/P1030224.jpg)

Now it has Koni's, Strano Springs, 35/22 bars, PHR bar, offset bushings, 315 18 A6's, TurnOne pump, Blainfab spacers, Headers, LS6 Intake, Tune and a much tighter connection between the steering wheel and the seat. At the last event I won ESP by over 2 seconds and finished in the top 15 beating a bunch of fast cars...

2001 Trans Am. When I first got my car it was 100% stock (used). Then I added Koni's and Strano front bar, and strut tower brace (yeah yeah I know) and SFCs. In 2008 I got 11" wheels and 315's. I had to roll the rear inner fender so I wouldn't rub, I borrowed one of those rolling machines you bolt to the hub, make it relatively easy and professional looking. Got a new diff this year. But outwardly the car looks the same. I haven't lowered it or anything. Hoping to buy Sparco seats this year. Needs a tranny rebuild, the 3/4 fork is a little bent.

Since I'm always the one taking pix I don't have too many of myself. Thanks to my wife who lately has taken some decent pix of me at autox.

This is the oldest electronic pic I can find:
(IMG:http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o33/StanIROCZ/AustinsCamaro.jpg)
Right after I got my dubs! Thought I was the shit. This pic is from 2005 but I've had the car since '97.

I got bit pretty hard by the FRRAX bug. Some track days and 1000's of $ and hours later:
(IMG:http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o33/StanIROCZ/IMG_7333.jpg)

(IMG:http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o33/StanIROCZ/IMG_7230.jpg)

Damn that Alan Blaine for making race cars look so good, so I had to try it myself. With 1000's more $$ and hours it still sits in the garage:

(IMG:http://i116.photobucket.com/albums/o33/StanIROCZ/Cage/DSC03455.jpg)

I should have it off to paint within the month.

Before:

(IMG:http://i827.photobucket.com/albums/zz195/silentmover1/Car%20general/Ortega7.jpg)

After a few mods, the best of which so far has been the UE suspension:

(IMG:http://i827.photobucket.com/albums/zz195/silentmover1/Car%20general/VP2_7106.jpg)

(IMG:http://i827.photobucket.com/albums/zz195/silentmover1/Car%20general/VP2_5767.jpg)

And i have many of you to thank for the many thousands in this car at this point (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/2thumbs.gif)

Now, here is what happened to the car after I came here. (I'm naming names here! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rant2.gif) ) I was incluenced by respectable guys like Alan Blaine, and then a bunch of other miscreants like Austin and Kevin and Randy! Now I'm broke with a loud and noisy car that rides like a skate board. Now I no longer have AC, a radio, an automatic trans, drum brakes, rear seats and I have a jungle jim inside but I wouldn't have it any other way. I had another friend with a Mustang that had to stop talking to me. He said "Every time I talk to you I spend $300". He bought slicks, M&M suspension, brake pads etc etc. He eventually had to move away and sell his car to get away from me. Oh well, Mustang guy - probably not worth having as a friend anyways (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Hey Stan... Move to Columbus!!!

It wasn't any fun for me to spend thousands of dollars and hours all alone, it's much better when all of you join me. I'm glad that the collective here at frrax could influence you guys to pick up your sawzalls and torches and get busy. I blame Alan, Mitchntx, Glenn, Jeff B, Randy, Julie, John W, Stan and many others for the current condition of my car and now I need everybody to send me some donations to finish it...lol...

If I ever get to "after", I'll post pics. Right now I only have before and during... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Here is my car on the eve of its first autocross back in 2004. Only mods were Global West SFC (SM, here we come) and some Firebird wheels with 300 treadwear tires! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

(IMG:http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w108/01badz28/18166132437.jpg)

(IMG:http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w108/01badz28/Front.jpg)

(IMG:http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w108/01badz28/01badz28tracktime2.jpg)

I apparently don't have good pictures of the car taking corners back then, but the front sway bar was apparently disconnected. I did about half a season before I discovered that issue while swapping in a 32mm 1le bar.

Eventually got some good Strano parts and some R tires:

(IMG:http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w108/01badz28/small.jpg)

Blew up the motor:

(IMG:http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w108/01badz28/100_1256.jpg)

(IMG:http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w108/01badz28/100_1255.jpg)

(IMG:http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w108/01badz28/100_1252.jpg)

And replaced it with a cammed LS3:

(IMG:http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w108/01badz28/100_1247.jpg)

Finally got the 17x11s fitted and squared away, so this is how she looks now:

I like that green car with all the geckos on it in one of your Buttonwillow pics! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Said car is rumored to be racing at Thunderhill later this month! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/2thumbs.gif) Got it back with the new motor yesterday!

Stan, love the pizza box! Got one for my '91 Formula at Blaine Fab! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
