I have entered both the 2nd gen (one race) and the third gen (two races) for this event. It is the only banked US style circuit in the country and in fact is a bit of a white elephant of a place after the collapse of a UK version of NASCAR that was never right from day one (why try to re-invent the wheel?) but its mainly used for road racing these days although on the Saturday the only surviving UK large track oval series our duller version of pick up trucks with 2 litre engines (so glad we are on the Sunday only as they are boring). We use two of the high speed banked corners although one is approached from the infield, then turn onto a rather fussy infield layout although it is the only circuit in the UK with more left hand bends than righthand so my Left Hand Drive car may have an edge in places. I have yet to figure out how to get both cars to the circuit but a guy who races the Jag XJ12 in the pre 74 historic race where the 2nd gen runs has sponsored me for the meeting if I bring the old girl out as he needs my support to win the championship as dispite winning overall at every round he is neck and neck with a guy in the smaller class by virtue of the fact the more cars in class the more points are available. So its gonna be a busy weekend for me and hopefully I will actually make the grid this time! If so report and video after the race.
