I know that this is my first post, I have been a lurker for several years, but haven't shared my project here, yet.. I need a favor, if anyone could help.

I checked the usual speed shops around here, but it seems like they're either closed or only see customers by appointment. Short of trying a Midas (or something of the sort) I don't know who else to try/trust out here. I have some tools, but I'm short some stands, jack, drain pan and a level slab of concrete.

I believe my problem is the c-clips. So I just need a recommendation of who is open tomorrow or a place to get the car high enough if someone would be as so kind to let me borrow a jack and a couple of stands for about an hour. I just need to drain the diff and check/replace the c-clips.

I hate being the new guy asking for a favor, but I don't have much choice and my wife is with me. She's thrilled! I'd appreciate any help. It's an 02 SS with the factory 10 bolt.

I'm waaay too far away to help you with finding a shop, but I'm VERY familiar with 10-bolts. What kind of problem can you solve with repairs to your c-clips? The usual knock back on the brakes pucks is the only thing I can think of that you could fix quickly with new (wider) c-clips. If one has actually broken, you won't be able to do a quick fix of the mess in there, and the brakes are the only thing keeping the axle from walking right out of the housing. I'm racing all weekend but I'm really curious about what your problem is and how you will eventually get it fixed. Good luck!
