Way back when I autoxed my 93, I changed the suspension from stock Z28 to 1LE control arms (front upper and lower as well as rear lowers).
Now that my 98 has taken over as track or autox car, I wouldn't mind trading it back out to stock. Best circumstance would be someone with stock upper and lower front control arms and stock rear lower control arms with reasonable mileage that is in SCal to come by the garage and we can simply change them out. About half my cars mileage (135000) is on the 1LE control arms. However it feels like those hard rubber 1LE bushings will never wear out. Lemme know if you are interested. BTW, I have checked and my original 1LE springs are gone. The only extras I have are Eibachs. I do have the original 1LE panhard bar also. everything is in the San Diego area. Perry |

PM sent I think you're right on the longevity of the 1LE bushings. I went all NOS 1LE bushings at 65,000 miles, and just changed them all out at 155,000. The only bushing that showed cracking was the caster bushing. HOWEVER, while the 1LE DeCarbons had no leaks, and passed the usual bounce the bumper test, they had NO control over bumpy corners. |
