This should be huge probably the biggest American themed race meeting outside the USA this year. I have entered my 2nd Gen which I am just finishing off fitting a new engine I have built if I have any problems I still should have enough time to get the 3rd gen ready. I have entered the Historic V8 Racing Associations event and will be my first time out this season

Here is some links to the action its sponsored by Chevrolet and has backing from NASCAR who are now officially tied in to the European Racecar series that uses NASCAR type cars. TV ad here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UosH-r6-6os . Here is another link to the Brands Hatch Speedfest page. http://www.speedfest.co.uk/

Well the day was brilliant a real bit of the USA in old England it would have made you guys proud some fantastic bits of old yankee iron on and off the track. I finished both my races in the 2nd gen unfortunately last in both as I had a misfire in the first race and a nice spin in the 2nd also my car was on some 5 year old Dunlop historic tyres that are rubbish as the Kumhos I have mounted on 16 inch rims I was going to use had 5 lug nuts missing which I only found out at the last moment. I will stick a link up to some of my own video later in the meantime here is some from a quick 1st gen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=playe...p;v=FTIWF8VL2TM

Sounds like it was an awesome event. Hopefully you'll get better tires for next year, or at least locate your (lug)nuts.

I love the old iron!!!
