Alright I'll throw this out there. I gotta fix the viewpoint in my vids . . . getting a little too much of the cabin and not quite enough of the track I think.
The Menace at Putnam The PH chassis mount was nearly torn off at this point (unknown to me until later). Got lucky . . . |

Seeing the driver can be a good learning aid. It'll let you know if you're developing any bad habits.

Very true
I'm often surprised how I think I was driving, and what the camera shows. Bad judgements on gear selection, shift timing, sawing, etc. etc.. It's all right there! |

Yeah it's a crate motor. GM Fast Burn 385, modified with .015" head shims for more compression and proper quench distance (about .040" I think I got) and a bigger cam, some exhaust port polishing, etc.. Has been super reliable so far. I shouldn't have said that. . . (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rant2.gif)
Trans is a T56 6 speed with Quartermaster clutch. Having some slippage issues with it right now, I'm sure it just needs some fresh wear components. I've never had it apart, previous owner had it no telling how long. |
