What do you consider to be too far?
Right now, my outer limit is ~350 miles |

My Previous race vechile I 've gone as far as 1,100 miles. Now with the car driving I would say 700 miles. If I was trailering about the same. John

John With rare exceptions, my limit is same-day departure and return. I don't mind staying in a hotel per se, but I usually can't spare an extra day for travel. |

Well heck Mitch. Since you live near Dallas 350 miles doesn't even get you to another major city outside of DFW does it? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)
I haven't trailered my car over 350 miles each way either, that I can remember, but it hasn't been on purpose. I intended to make it to VIR last year but couldn't get the time away from work. I'd do it if I had the chance. |

My limit is around 700 miles. Not because I care about the distance (I'd love to run Leguna Seca), but the time off work required for a 700+ mile drive is too long. Pittsburgh to Nashville was my longest tow...

It would also get me to Sanderson (Big Bend Open) and the PCA events in Corpus Stretch to 400 and I could get to No Problem in Baton Rouge .. |

I drove 600 miles each way to Peru, Indiana, Topeka is a quite bit farther, haven't been there *yet*.
Probably will be getting a tow vehicle soon if i decide to continue... |

160 miles to Limerock, 250 miles to Summit Point, ~300 miles to Watkins Glen
Thinking of 400+ miles to BeaveRun, and 500+ miles to VIR? |

... for me Lime Rock has been the furthest, then Mid-Ohio. Watkins Glen is 5.5 hours north of me, boy, I love that track, and VIR is 6 hrs south of me.
Next year I want to do Road Atlanta. That'll easyly be an 14 hr drive. |

I live in Maryland. I have been to MID-OHIO, Watkins Glen and VIR. Plan to go to Road Atlanta with PF Flyer next year. PF Flyer and I try to get to the above tracks at least once a year.
My home track in Summit point about 40 min from home. |

I pulled the Camaro 1131 mi to go to the ProSolo finale and Solo 2 nat's last year. It was not that bad of a tow. I drove straight through on the way back and did it in 18.5 hours stopping only for gas (which was alot), a quick bit to eat, and a flat in nowhere Ohio. That was in an old 68 F250. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) For the big events people are willing to pull farther. For a regular ProSolo I would pull out to Topeka if I didn't have to use vacation time to get Friday and half of Monday off.

I don't mind traveling anywhere now that I have a trailer BEHIND my car... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
This year I've been to Gainesville FL (375 miles) and Nashville (240 miles). I'm headed to Laurens SC for a divisional (162 miles) and if I have to (depends on how I do at Laurens) I'm headed to Norfolk VA for a divisional (541 miles). BUT... if you want to talk about traveling... talk to Karen. She gets around... Longest so far has been 800-900 miles. From Monroe WA to Battle Mtn. Nevada. About 14.5-15 hours hauling the car behind the burb.

Each year I do the NFME and that usually involves a 700- 900 mile haul depending on where it is located.
