I need the hard rubber boot that fits over the base of the shifter shaft on a '97 6 speed. It is approximately 3" x 3". It is NOT the rubber boot that attaches to the floor tunnel. Does anyone know the part number or have one for sale?

It doesn't appear to be listed separately. Part 98 appears to be 10267518, which is the boot which bolts to the tunnel.

The dealers (AND GM Parts Direct, etc.) I've ever checked with can no longer get this part, so IF they actually have them on ebay, grab it up!

I think they made several different styles depending on the shifter. Mine is a SS/SLP car with the optional Hurst shifter. I found a different one from the same ebay store with a picture that looks exactly like mine. I still don't know the part number…. Thanks for your input.
