For Sale 1998 Camaro SS Build #373, Onyx, set up for ESP. The car has been to nationals 4 times with the number 97/197 and it trophied once.
I purchased the car from Eric Thompson (Major Lee Slow) $9500 with Corbeaus, 9000 without. Miles: ~64000 second owner Weight: 3230 lbs HP: ~370 RWHP Torque: ~400 Ft*lbs (If I remember correctly, Have Dyno Sheet back in the USA) I’ve been driving the car to work, and am getting 22.5- 24 mpg on premium fuel (tuned for premium or better). Took it to OBX and got 27.8 on the trip down, which is not all highway. Current Mods: Penske Shocks: 8300 Rear 7800 front Double Digressive Valving (Approx 3000.00, plus re valving) Springs: 2.25 inch 1000 Ft. 5 inch 150, 175, 200, 225 250 Double Ground Rear with Custom Weight Jackers (Yep, can adjust corner weights without jacking it up) (500.00) Global West Upper Control Arms Modified to maximize jounce travel (300.00) Poly Everything (Except the caster bushings) Strano 35 mm ft Bar (225.00) Hellwig adjust rear bar with rod end endlinks (200.00) Watt's Link (600.00) Unbalanced Engineering Decoupled Torque Arm (800.00) Z51 Corvette ft and rear calipers (Using F-Body PAB's and stock sized rotors) Porterfield R41 Ft Break Pads, Autozone stock rear pads Braided Steel Brake lines everywhere (100.00) Rear Brake Bias Valve Momo Steering Wheel with Quick Disconnect (300.00) 6 point harness's (installed correctly with a harness bar) (200.00) Corbeau Seats (700.00, plus brackets) (Removed from car, now has stock seats) DL-1 hardwired to car with remote on/off, record button on dash (900, plus custom wiring harnesses) American Racing Headers with a dump before the axle (1200.00) Centerforce Light Metal Clutch (250.00) Fidanza Aluminum Flywheel (300.00) Pro 5.0 Shifter (150.00) ATI 10% underdrive Damper SLP Lid (150.00) BBK Throttle Body (200.00) LS6 Intake (250.00) (rebuilt trans (750.00) Torsen T2R/ 3.42/ stock axles w/ ARP studs (New Light Weight Version, worked awesome, been in the car for 2 years, no issue) (800.00) New (er) hubs with ARP studs. Braille battery, charger, brackets and cabling (300.00) (braille was getting weak for every day winter starts, so I installed a standard battery) 11/17 Bogarts with almost new A6 315 (2000.00) 275/40/17 Hoosier wets (500.00) I’m lowballing most of the prices listed, and the number comes to over 14000.00 in modifications alone. This doesn’t include tuning, dyno time, and prototyping many of the parts on the car. I’ve replaced both O2 sensors, and the high beam switch. Horn switch installed and passed inspection/emissions. All setup notes/instruction sheets/dyno sheets that were provided will be included with sale All original OEM parts are included: Stock Seats Stock Exhaust Stock shocks Stock Springs (1LE package on SS's in 1998) Stock Bars Stock Radio had a fall, may or may not work. A/C setup Etc, Etc, I have all the parts to put the car back to OEM condition Pictures are available http://books.google.com/books?id=ElpKS5y5D...aro&f=false Why am I selling? Eric put so much time and money into developing a top notch ESP car and I’m not going to use it for that. I’d have to modify it for street use/ DE/open track. If someone is looking for an instantly competitive ESP F body, it doesn’t get much better than this. Clear PA title. No warranties given, as this is a 16 year old car. I'm not familiar with MLS Motor Racing and a Google search produced no sites I was able to find pictures on. Would you mind linking to the correct page? Thanks! Sounds like a great buy.

As far as pictures,
A link to a book that the car was featured in: http://books.google.com/books?id=ElpKS5y5D...aro&f=false I'm checking with Eric to see what ratio is in the car. |

This car went through Pennsyltuckey's draconian, privatized, inspection with dumped, no-catcon longtubes, and 6 point harnesses (or are the stock belts still in the car?), and QD?? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/gr_confused.gif)
WHERE did you take it for this, as I'd like to go there for next year's inspection? This post has been edited by dailydriver: Aug 22 2014, 10:27 PM |

I'm kinda getting the "itch" for this car. It sucks that I'm out of garage space and I "just" bought a car.

This is what I want on my car, except from the photos Major Lee Slow sent to me I didn't understand how to modify my existing weight jackers.
"Custom Weight Jackers (Yep, can adjust corner weights without jacking it up) " |
